The Programme
Learning & Development (“L&D”) is responsible for the development of our people within KPMG and our purpose are:
- To equip our people with the knowledge, skills, and attitude to provide our clients with insights, innovative thinking and ability to resolve their most complex problems.
- To provide world class learning and development framework and tools, and timely and insightful reports to our key stakeholders to help them effectively manage their people’s growth and development.
The Learning & Development Associate reports to the L&D Assistant Manager and L&D Director, and key roles include:
- Collaboration with a team of instructional designers and developers who are passionate about utilizing technologies to enhance learning experiences and increase learning effectiveness; and
- Collaboration with various business units and their respective subject matter experts.
What You Will Do
- Works closely with and supports the Digital L&D Specialist team in the design and development of interactive and engaging web-based learning and eLearning contents through digital authoring tools and various technological enablers trending in digital learning.
- Consistently delivers high quality work to meet internal clients’ needs.
- Builds positive and collaborative working relationships to drive collaboration and inclusion.
- Identifies learning-related issues, such as content sequencing, flow of information and relevancy of media, and suggests ways to implement effective solutions.
- Research learning industry trends, methodologies, and technology and makes recommendations to instructional designers and developers and/or subject matter experts on how to incorporate trends into digital learning.
- Provides innovative solutions related to the design and development of digital learning contents.
- Recommends most effective deployment approach based on knowledge and experience in incorporating theories of adult learning, interactive learning methods and relevant assessments.
- Responsible for updating existing digital learning contents due to changes arising from processes, methodology or subject contents as highlighted by the instructional designers and developers and/or subject matter experts.
- Documents and follows up on problems encountered in the course of work and recommends appropriate solutions.
- Learns and be coached on how to use Articulate Storyline 3.0 for the development of digital learning contents.
- Be involved in the development and implementation of digital learning and development strategies and objectives of L&D.
- Be involved in Asia Pacific Learning & Development’s digital L&D projects/initiatives for implementation in KPMG Malaysia.
- Be involved in People projects initiated by the People, Performance and Culture team from time to time.
- Day-to-day responsibilities and tasks within the department as the L&D Associate.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Multimedia Design, Digital Media Technology or equivalent.
- Relevant work experience in the area of digital learning & development is an advantage
- Good command of English.
- Good interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, with a pleasant personality.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Good time management and prioritization skills to meet project timelines.
- Strong team collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Passionate about developing digital learning contents and materials.
- Strong multimedia skills with an eye for detail and thoroughness.
- Must be computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Power Point.
