The Programme

We are looking to recruit an Actuarial Intern, based in Milliman's Gurgaon Office. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work across a wide variety of pension/employee benefit projects and develop their consulting expertise.

What You Will Do

Assist in preparation of actuarial valuation and compliance work primarily for US Defined Benefit Retirement Plans, including:

• Funding valuations.
• Accounting valuations.
• Government form preparation.
• Perform benefit calculations.
• Assist in preparation of valuation, disclosure and expense reports.
• Prepare benefit coding to replicate valuations under legacy tools.
• Provide analysis and assistance on special employee benefits projects such as Gratuity valuation, UAE projects, and Middle East projects.
• Provide broader day-to-day support to colleagues based in Gurgaon and USA.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Graduates / Postgraduates preferably Math / Stats / Eco / Commerce streams.
• Bachelors or better in Actuarial Science or related field.
• Bachelors or better in Mathematics or related field.
• 0-6 actuarial exams.
• Pursuing actuarial exams and motivated to become an actuary.
• Experience - Fresher.
• Basic knowledge of retirement and/or retiree medical work.
• Strong technical and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, particularly, MS-Excel (VBA experience is a plus).
• Ability to manage own workflow.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
